A graduate in ceramics will go on to design
and create as a craftsperson in a medium sized ceramics
studio , as a design manager in a large company, or teach
in a leisure/community centre, a vocational school, youth
club or manage his/her own company.
He/she can be responsible for the forecast,
design and follow-up of ceramics products or work as an
adviser.
He/she can be asked to animate and manage
ceramics studios.
Contents of the course
:
> the first year of the
course aims at deepening and widening the student's knowledge
and ability as well as broadening the student's skills,
through a study of different ceramic techniques in a progressive
range of activities, and a technological and professional
practice based on studio work.
> the second year focuses
on preparing the student for professional life, total autonomy,
and developing the student's ability to define, design and
promote a personal project, with the help of the team of
tutors
Final graduation is given by a jury equally
composed of professional and teaching persons.
Applicants must have obtained a secondary
education degree in art and design, a qualification in the
field of ceramics or have attended a one year foundation
course in art and design. They will then submit to an interview
and must present a professional and artistic portfolio providing
evidence of their artistic and creative abilities along
with a C.V and covering letter.
