Faces [unfaces]

The face, more than every part of the body, is clearly visible by everyone. It stays naked, without shield or weapon. It is the interface between exterior world and body’s interior. It is the place for all expressions, never the same second after second. But it is a waterproof surface too, a surface of projection, it is a screen. Everything which register on stay stranger.

There are tentatives of classification, reshaping, surface finishing... The face becomes evanescent, emancipated, and brodcast itself in the space. The numeric world affects it, and after reproduction and manipulation, it tends to fade.

The face becomes a standardized size, the model for everything around it. It is a source of creation. And it comes back in the body environnement. It is everywhere. We see faces in all things, but there are unfaces.
